Wedding at Las Campanas

My sister and I had a great time designing Kate's wedding at Las Campanas club house here in
Santa Fe, New Mexico last weekend. Her colors were right on trend with the peach garden roses, which smelled amazing by the way! It was a garden look and feel with the soft white hydrangeas and the pale yellow stock but also modern chic with the stems showing through the clear glass vase. With the white tent backdrop leading on to the golf course at Las Campanas it was a dream come true reception which lasted into the wee hours of the night.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words and I couldn't
agree more. Ahhh

For the head table we designed these long glass centerpieces down the center of the dark wooden table. Lined with single stems of white anemones and peach garden roses.

I'm sorry the pictures are not better quality we took these with our iphones as we were setting up, I'll try to post more once we have the professional pics. I hope you enjoyed this post I'll see you next time.

Last year we saw a high demand from our brides for succulents in bridal bouquets, and it seems like they just keep getting more and more popular. And I can see why!

 Sophistication with Succulents

Their soft greens and blues evoke water and the dessert simultaneously.

They grow in arid climates, far from life-giving rains, and yet there’s no plant that looks healthier and more full of moisture and life.
Succulents are uniquely beautiful.
They store moisture in their thick leaves. They can live for months without being watered and they last for many days detached from their roots. As such, they’re the perfect plants for wreaths, garlands, bouquets and wedding sculptures.
They’re also inexpensive and come in a wide variety of shapes, colors and textures. Some succulents have leaves that look like rose petals and they curl in round, romantic blossoms. Others have long, broad, red leaves, like a thick, otherworldly orchid. They can work within many different types of themes and venues—from rocky winter beaches to summer picnics.
